Meet Max Dowler
While I always bring my vocal A-game to any project I work on, the most valuable thing I have to offer is my experience and a great attitude to top it all off.
There’s only so much you can get to know about me from my bio (which I’ve added below if you’re curious to see what I’ve done), but behind the dates and names of every job was a team who knew they could rely on me to help bring the project home.
My favourite thing about all of this is the variety, so I more than welcome you to share your project with me as I’m always interested in trying something new.
Create Amazing Work!
Back in 2001 I started my acting training at Webber Douglas, where I also got my first taste of voiceover as part of the Carleton Hobbs radio award team.
While I trained in radio initially, my journey into voice acting was a bit unorthodox (as I imagine most voice actor journeys are). Having dipped my toe into stand up comedy using my talent for impressions, I discovered I could do a mean Alan Rickman. With the help of a talented camera crew, I turned this into Alan Rickman Karaoke, which was longlisted for a British Comedy Award.
Securing my VO agent followed soon after and was a gamechanger for me. I’ve since delved into just about every genre there is, narrating audiobooks, delivering ADR and performing corporate voiceover and adverts for both TV and radio.
Outside of my various celebrity impressions, I’ve also been known to perform in feature films such as ‘Ammonite’, directed by Francis Lee, starring Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan; and ‘The One and Only Ivan’, with Bryan Cranston and Angelina Jolie.
My television credits include some of the UK’s most iconic TV series such as ‘Line Of Duty’, ‘The Crown’, ‘Coronation Street’, ‘This England’, ‘I Hate Suzie’, ‘The Boleyns: A Scandalous Family’, ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘EastEnders’; just to name a few.
I’m always eager to expand my horizons and take on new projects, with my next challenge being to get into video game voice acting, as well as do more event announcing and documentary narration; so if you’re in that space, then head straight to my contact form and tell me all about it!
Deep & Neutral RP Voice
One of the key things that my voiceover and acting clients especially love about me is the deep and rich tone of my voice. My natural accent is neutral RP, but as an impressionist by trade, I’ve got many other voices if you need them!

When you’ve worked on as many sets as I have, you quickly understand that the attitude you bring is almost equal to the performance. I often get rehired by the same teams and I think that speaks volumes about how much my clients enjoy working with me.

While I began my career in character acting, I’ve seamlessly managed to be part of hundreds of corporate and commercial productions. No matter your project, or its intended audience, you can always trust me to deliver exactly what you need.
